Doors open with affordable units (THE SUN HERALD)

More than 50 people have turned out for the official on-site opening and inspection of award-winning builders, Hadcon Constructions, new innovative housing development in western Sydney.

The 16-unit development “Hadcon On The Esplanade”, was officially opened by the Federal Minister for Home Affairs, Justice and Defence Materiel and Member for Blaxland, the Honourable Jason Clare, MP, at a special event in Guildford, on Tuesday 13 November.

Minister Clare was joined by Holroyd Mayor Ross Grove, Deputy Mayor Dr John Brodie, Councillors Pam Colman and Clr Nasr Kafrouni and Dr Judy Banko, the CEO of Ecclesia Housing (Ecclesia), a Parramatta-based community housing provider, as well as new tenants, designers and tradesmen who worked on the project.

All 16 units will be managed by Ecclesia under the NSW and Federal Government’s National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS).

A building company involved in the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan (NBESP) has received the 2010 Excellence in Housing (Public Housing) award by the Master Builders Association of NSW.

Hadcon Constructions received the award last week for their work on an NBESP project at Adrian Avenue, Lurnea.

Robert Haddad, Director of Hadcon Constructions PTY LIMITED, was honoured to receive the award, which acknowledged the high quality work as well as effective management and ability to respond to a client's needs.
